TB-500 FDA generally uses TB-500 for the synthetic N-acetylated 17–23 fragment of thymosin beta-4, Ac-LKKTETQ, rather than full-length 43-residue thymosin beta-4. Analytical studies identified that heptapeptide in products sold as TB-500 and studied its disposition in horses, but FDA's 2026 review found no human administration studies and insufficient nonclinical evidence to support wound-healing efficacy. Neither free-base nor acetate TB-500 is a component of an FDA-approved drug. The 10 mg artwork does not identify free base versus acetate or verify molecular identity, purity, sterility, endotoxin control, or stability.
