Product Description

5-Amino-1MQ is a small-molecule quinolinium research compound, not a peptide. It has been studied as an inhibitor of nicotinamide N-methyltransferase (NNMT) in biochemical, cellular, and rodent models, including diet-induced-obesity and aged-muscle experiments. Those preclinical findings do not establish human safety or efficacy, and no human clinical outcome evidence was identified. Because the vial artwork does not name a counterion, the formula, mass, and CAS below refer only to the 5-amino-1-methylquinolinium cation rather than an assumed iodide or other salt.
